He's the only T that I see that will be a UFA and is under 30 yrs old

If it is true there is no cap next year this would work then you draft the Best OT or QB with our first pick.

Nnamdi Asomugha is the most underrated, overlooked, underestimated, arguably the best CB in the league. This guy is a stud at the secondary, and I would kill to have him wear a Seahawks uniform... Are you sure he's gonna be a FA this year?

I only checked the top six guys but three are under 30 years old. What does age have to do with it anyway ? If they can play they can play ?

1. Jordan Gross Carolina
2. Mark Tauscher Green Bay
3. Marc Colombo Dallas
4. Vernon Carey Miami
5. Stacey Andrews Cincinnati
6. Jon Stinchcomb New Orleans
7. Marvel Smith Pittsburgh
8. Khalif Barnes Jacksonville
9. Jon Runyan Philadelphia
10. William Thomas Philadelphia
11. Ray Willis Seattle
12. George Foster Detroit
13. Max Starks Pittsburgh
14. Kirk Chambers Buffalo
15. Elton Brown Arizona
16. Daniel Loper Tennessee
17. Trai Essex Pittsburgh
18. Frank Omiyale Carolina
19. Fred Miller Chicago
20. Marcus Johnson Minnesota
21. Brandon Gorin St. Louis

And as far as FA QBs go Matt Cassell will be a free agent unless the pats franchise him...I wouldn't say he's chopped liver .

But I do expect seattle to take a late round QB and dump Frye...hell we may even go after the guy that replaced Frye, Derek Anderson a NW native son

Agreed and yes he will be an FA... Him and Trufant would be the best tandem of CBs in the league by far.

It's funny when I spoke to Mora I told him how if they win the conference next year he will pick-up a lot of votes for coach of the year. In honesty we will return to our spot atop the division. I think either with a healthy Hasselbeck or a more confident experienced Seneca Wallace. Julius Jones can get confidence as they hand him the sole duties of running back after Morris leaves in free agency and our defense will also be healthy again! Plus our line will be too and if not we have some young guys gaining experience that can pull it out. Look for Big Walt to earn his 10th Pro Bowl next year, while we win another NFC West and Mora wins Coach of Year... I can't wait for kick-off 09!

Are you serious? Age means everything for a OT. Plus your list is a little diff than mine.
OT NR Jordan Gross UFA 6 6-5/300 Utah Carolina
OT NR Marvel Smith UFA 9 6-5/321 Arizona State Pittsburgh
OT NR Mark Tauscher UFA 9 6-4/315 Wisconsin Green Bay
OT NR Jon Runyan UFA 13 6-7/330 Michigan Philadelphia
OT NR Tra Thomas UFA 11 6-7/335 Florida State Philadelphia
OT NR Willie Colon RFA 3 6-3/315 Hofstra Pittsburgh
OT NR Khalif Barnes UFA 4 6-5/325 Washington Jacksonville

you build for long term thru the draft not FA. FA should only be used to fill a hole or for depth. Of course our GM has to figure out how to work the 1st round.

Am I the only one that realizes that Morris is a much better back than JJ? JJ is a better blocker and a bigger threat to break a big run, but Morris is a much better runner overall.

Nope, I've thought that all along...Personally I think Julia Jones is worse than Shauna Alexandria.

Mo has been running hard no doubt about it..but you have to score , you have to be able to get to the edge and you have to break off a long run once in a while when your o-line gets you into the secondary..9 rushing tds dont cut it and a long run of 45 yards....that doesn't scare my dog...speed baby and some moves would be nice..

When I watch the G-Men and their stash of good, if not great, RBs, it makes me sick to then look at ours. They are all change of pace backs. None of them are worthy starters, IMO.

JJ really hasn't been given too many opportunities as of late. He did good at the beginning of the season, but since Mo Mo has been healthy, he hasn't played much at all.

Asomugha is going to be franchised...
Housh is going to be franchised...They are more willing to let Ocho Asshole go.
Jones is PROBABLY going to be franchised.
Birk is PROBABLY going to be franchised as well.

Canty, Barnes, and Gamble would be good pickups though.

Franchising a corner is going to run them probably 8 or 9 mill

They'll do it for one reason...He's the brighest spot on that whole team, no way they'll let him leave.

And they over pay defensive players all the time... Even though I guess they wouldn't be over paying him, he deserves premier CB money.
