So Los Angeles's future NFC team is coming to Seattle for a reunion of sorts. Hutch, Rice, TJack, and all the rest get a chance to renew old friendships in another "glorious" Preseason tilt....TOTT and the boys in blue along with 67,000 (20,000 of them dressed as empty seats) of TOTT's closest friends return to Seahawks Stadium...Err...

Qwest Field? Err....

Century Link Field?

Let's just call it "The CLink"!

For another fun filled home schedule....TOTT welcomes the chance for all of you to buy him beer and trinkets, he's the kinda guy that likes those sorts of things....Me? I'll just sit back and enjoy the game and revel in the fact that the NFL is back and better than ever!

Population:
Seattle: 3,344,813 (14th)
Twin Cities: 3, 689, 999 (13th)
Winner: Twin Cities, by a hair....Though the guy from Fargo would've made it an even 3,690,000 if he wasn't put into a wood chipper...

Name:
Seattle: Named after a local Duwamish chief named Sealth. His grave on Bainbridge Island looks at his namesake city.
Twin Cities: Named after the cities of Minneapolis meaning "Mni" which is Dakota for "water" and "polis" which is Greek for "city". And St. Paul named after St. Paul one of the main spreaders of the early Christian Religion.
Winner: Seattle, Twin Cities sounds like a place that would fit the Olsen Sisters (pre alcohol binges)...

Nickname:
Seattle: Emerald City
Twin Cities: The Cities
Winner: Seattle, The Twin Cities are boring so of course they are going to have a snoozer of a nickname....

Sports Teams:
Seattle: Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders
Twin Cities: Vikings, Twins, Wild, Timberwolves
Winner: Twin Cities, they have all four MAJOR sports..

Sports Teams Lost:
Seattle: 2-Supersonics (NoKC Blunder), Pilots (Milwaukee Brewers)
Twin Cities: 3-Minneapolis Marines/Red Jackets (NFL, Folded), Minneapolis Lakers (NBA, Moved to Los Angeles), Minnesota North Stars (NHL, Moved to Dallas)Winner: Seattle, It's kinda funny that their NBA team moved to Los Angeles and now play at the Staples Centre which is right across the street from where Farmer's Field is being built which might become the Viqueens new home stadium...

Championships:
Seattle: 2-Mets won 1917 Stanley Cup, Supersonics won 1979 NBA Finals.
Twin Cities: 8-Twins won 1987 and 1991 World Series, Lakers won 1948, '49, '50, 52, '53, and '54 NBA Finals
Winner: Twin Cities, the Lakers were the first dynasty of the NBA. The Twins won perhaps the greatest World Series ever in 1991 and won another in '87 without winning a road game away from the Metrodome, overall the Twins were 0-6 away from the Dome in those two series while going 8-0 in the BC Place/RCA Dome ripoff stadium....

Notable Landmarks:
Seattle: Space Needle, Columbia Center, EMP
Twin Cities: Capella Tower, Mall of America
Winner: Seattle, so they have a REALLY BIG...chuckle...MALL! Congrats! I'm sure that's a exciting...To someone..I don't know who but someone...

Beer:
Seattle: Pyramid, Redhook, Hale's Ales
Twin Cities: Schmidt, Hamm's
Winner: Seattle, though Schmidt is good for getting drunk and looking at the animals on the cans while debating with your drunk friend's that the animal on your can could kill the animal on their can....Hamm's...Well, they do have a catchy theme song...

Cuisine:
Seattle: Dick's, 12 Egg Omelet's from Beth's Cafe,
Twin Cities: Fish Fry's, Food on a Stick
Winner: Seattle, Minnesotans think that a deep fried candy bar is "cuisine" as well....Sorry....Deep fried to me means you either can't cook or are preparing for your next heart "episode"...Beth's omelets are unreal by the way...

People:
Seattle: Stacy Orrico, Anna Faris, Jimi Hendrix, Erika Christiansen, Julia Sweeney
Twin Cities: Prince, Al Franken, Vince Vaughn
Winner: Twin Cities, because Vince Vaughn is "so money baby" even though he claims Chicago and roots for the Arizona Crudinals...
220px-Vince_Vaughn_at_the_2010_Tribeca_Film_Festival_-_Shankbone.jpg

Natural Landmarks
Seattle: Mt. Rainier, Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains, Cascades
Twin Cities: Mississippi River
Winner: Seattle, their "landmark" is a river that no one associates with their area....

Head to Head:
Seattle: 6
Twin Cities: 5
Winner: Seattle, though we are 2-3 in the 2000's against them..

Last Meeting: (2009)
Seattle: 9
Twin Cities: 35
Winner: Twin Cities, the last time we played them they beat us in the Metrodome to drop us to 3-7 and move themselves to 9-1 thanks to 4 TD passes from the Sexter...If you recall the Sexter also cost them a Superbowl trip later that same season, then retired and unretired for the 406th time....Oh and he sent dickpics to some slutty reporter as well....

Overall Winner: Seattle 8-5

Enjoy the Game Folks!
GO HAWKS!

Is it weird that we are playing the 2 teams that are both moving to LA in a row? Just throwing that out there! :p

If they don't get a stadium deal in Minnehaha done this year them and the Chargers both can end up in LA, CBS and FOX both want the LA market for TV deals without blackouts in that market so it would work just fine in most sports biz people's minds having both an AFC and an NFC team in that building which btw is being built to house two teams much like the Meadowlands and the possible stadium in the Bay Area...

I wonder if that is going to be a new trend with have 2 teams share a stadium to cut down on costs AND have 16 home games a year.

Starting to look like it in multi-team areas which if LA joins the league with a pair would make 3.....Really looking like the Faiders might go to the Santa Clara Stadium which would be a huge mistake for Cokeland...If they let the Faiders AND A's go to SC and SJ they'd be pretty much the stupidest city in the history of cites...Add in the Warriors looking at either an SF new arena or the Sharktank in SJ and Cokeland could become a sports wasteland...
