Aaron Rodgers and others knows it's a foregone conclusion that his backup quarterback, Matt Flynn will not remain with the Packers but will be a starter on an NFL team next season.
Two teams have been mentioned as a destination for the 26-year old unrestricted free-agent quarterback, one of them is the Seahawks.
"John Schneider knows Matt and he's pulling some strings up there with them,"Rodgers said on his weekly radio show in Milwaukee.
"I think that would be an opportunity for him up there. Those are probably, in my opinion, the two top dogs that would go after him."
Schneider worked in the Packers front office from 2002 until he was hired as the Seahawks GM two years ago. Flynn was a seventh-round pick of the Packers in the 2008 draft.
Rodgers also indicated the Miami Dolphins would push hard for Flynn, as Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin was recently hired as the new head coach in South Florida.
While Pete Carroll has said they'll explore all opportunities at all positions, he reiterated at his closing press conference earlier this month that Tarvaris Jackson is the guy going forward-but a Pete Carroll press conference utterance is not legally binding.
When Flynn filled in for Rodgers Week 17, he passed for a franchise record six touchdowns and completed 31 of 44 passes against a good Lions defense.
