Seahawks general manager John Schneider just announced another group of signings, including free-agent defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, third-round draft choice John Moffitt and free agent kicker Wes Byrum.
Schneider also was able to confirm the additions of former Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson, former Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice, former Raiders guard Robert Gallery and former Cardinals defensive lineman Alan Branch – free agents who had agreed to terms earlier this week.
The club also has re-signed three more of its own free agents: linebacker Leroy Hill, fullback Michael Robinson and linebacker Matt McCoy.
Of retaining Mebane, a starter the past four seasons, Schneider said, “It’s huge for us. He wanted to stay and we wanted him to stay.”
