Pete Carroll is hosting a “Win Forever” workshop at Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Friday, June 17.
But this isn’t your traditional “X’s and O’s” clinic, as the Seahawks’ second-year coach will focus on his philosophy of coaching. The “New Generation of Coaches for the Next Generation of Athletes” theme is inspired by Carroll’s journey from college assistant coach, to NFL assistant coach, to first-time NFL head coach, to highly successful college head coach, to his current position with the Seahawks.
The workshop will be divided into – what else? – four quarters: “Self-Discovery,” to find out what motivates you; “Learn Your Learner,” or the importance of communicating and actively listening towards motivating; “Practice,” to discover how to train your team mentally and physically year-round; and “Balanced Scorecard,” highlighting what goes into optimum game-day performance.
Those interested are asked to RSVP today, by emailing [email protected] or calling 213-763-2173. The event runs from 6-10 p.m., with registration starting at 5:15 p.m.
