That certainly seems to hold true in the NFC as the top 4 defenses in the NFL have advanced to the Divisional round.
I personally completely believe this to be true, and so does Pete Carroll. He has build this defense from the ground up with a emphasis on the secondary and turnovers.
Otherwise elite QB's have looked pedestrian when facing these top defenses. Aarron Rodgers was patting the ball, and in constant duress against the 49ers. Drew Brees when he came to the clink was completely shut out. And our own RW had very medicore games when playing NFC West defensive heavy teams.
Defenses are the great equalizers. And we have the best in the NFL.
