Seattle has beat the 4 p.m. deadline for tagging players with the franchise designation. The Seahawks have placed the tag on LB Leroy Hill. He will make $8.34 mill if a long-term deal isn't reached and that will count against their salary cap this year.
Hill has never played a full season since being drafted in the third round out of Clemson in 2005. He was arrested in January for possession of marijiuana. However with Lofa and Julian his impact is underrated by offenses the main factor to his success.
