Never Knew this about Pat Tillman

Tillman had the chance to leave the Army in 2003 just one-year before he was KIA after then GM Bob Ferguson offered him a contract and a chance to play for the Seattle Seahawks.

Sad to know what would go onto happen after he turned down the offer and makes you wonder what might have been had he taken the offer.

Pat Tillman was/is a true american hero. He is the only other NFL jersey that I would wear that is not a Hawks jersey! Regardless of if the Hawks offered him a contract I am sure that many other teams wanted him as well! R.I.P. Pat Tillman!

Many teams did especially when he became a free agent before he entered the draft. One of my favorite Tillman stories is him turning the Rams offer down after they offered him more money so he could stay loyal to the team that gave him the chance when no one else did as he said.

Met Tillman at a Casino in Lakewood once during a Seahawks game when he was up here...Him and I think it was his brother were watching the Cruds game on the TV across the bar from us...Cool guy....Was going to buy him a beer but he said he didn't drink and told me to buy it for his brother instead, so I did....My boy and I talked to them for most of the second half of our games...
