Depends on what that conditional pick turns out to be. The most bizarre thing about this move, like you mentioned, is the timing. With the passing game currently in the gutter, how is this going to help? This is the type of move teams make when they are throwing in the towel. Gonna wait to hear more from the team and their rationale before knowing how to interpret this.

Well considering the Jets have a shit record and I'm going to go ahead and assume it will be a second round pick, this could be great. However, I'm concerned overall. Mostly with now the lack of WR depth, just hoping they bring Rich into the fold.

They invested a considerable amount in drafting PRich and Norwood. But giving up on a healthy Harvin this quickly indicates that there was maybe something else going on behind the scenes. He did after all wear out his welcome in Minnesota.

Maybe it also could be just a case of just deciding it's time to go in a different direction. This move definitely opens up a lot of stuff for PRich and Norwood. They were all in on revolving the entire passing game around Percy.

Come on, you can do better than that. He didn't walk on his own, the Seahawks traded him.
We'll see how much dysfunction got kicked to the curb along with him. At least they can get back to playing Seahawk football instead of revolving the entire offensive gameplan around the Percy Harvin Experiment.

Reports now coming out he didn't travel with team in final preseason game against Oakland due to a confrontation with Doug Baldwin as well. Sounds like this has been an ongoing issue. Wonder why it's becoming so public now. Regardless, it was a mistake and I'm just glad we were at least able to get something in return and cut ties before it got ugly.

On that note though, can anyone explain the bad luck Seattle has with "star" receivers? T.J Houshmandzadeh, Sidney Rice, and now Percy Harvin. Some really bad luck or just not system fits.

Players wanted no part of Seattle back in the day , even when offered top dollar to go there . The guys we did manage to get only did so to grab the cash and gave forth little in the way of production over the long haul . Guys that we drafted played out their deals and caught the first bus out of town when their deals were done , it was as frustrating at times as never winning a SB .

This Harvin thing , really no explanation for it , guy got paid , guy got a ring , he was loved by fans ....so what was his malfunction ? Was the Front office holding him back to keep him from getting hurt so he was tradable ? Did that set him off , was he not working , studying doing his job ? He never went down the field for a bomb ? Was he refusing plays ? I noticed he seemed to cause a few issues by being out of position and it looked like he didn't know the play at times. We may never know the truth , but one things for sure Harvin will continue to act this way because teams value talent over integrity ...the Jets ????? Idzik and Rex are trying to save their jobs ... This may be the final nail in that coffin ...you don't bring a disease into a 1-5 locker room ...lol

The final tally turned out to be around $780K per catch the Seahawks paid him. And he thinks he's got a reason to bitch? Harvin's nothing but a narcissistic punk loser. He'll never get it. I knew that was a problem in Minnesota but for some reason I always think these types of people will grow up one day.

The conditional pick is as low as a 4th and as high as a 2nd. But if what's coming out is true, that's definitely inconsequential. If they'd have gotten nothing from the Jets it still would have been a good deal. The cap space acquired by itself was worth it. Booting Harvin means keeping guys like Wagner, KJ, Malcolm Smith and Russ.

The question is, do they have enough at WR now? They can do it without Harvin, that much has been proven but can they do it without Tate?
