Report: Seahawks to re-sign Anthony McCoy

The Seahawks have reportedly agreed to terms with Anthony McCoy, who was their No. 2 tight end before missing the 2013 season because of an Achilles injury.
The deal, reported by Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports, has yet to be announced.
McCoy, 26, was a sixth-round pick by Seattle in 2010. After his first two seasons were beset by injuries and inconsistency, he caught 18 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns in 2012 as Zach Miller's backup. He was set to fill that role again in 2013 before he tore his Achilles tendon during an offseason workout. He was waived with an injury designation, cleared waivers and ended up on Seattle's injured reserve.
The deal gives McCoy a chance to reclaim his role as Seattle's backup tight end, which was filled last season by rookie Luke Willson. It also gives the Seahawks another option should they decide to part ways with starter Miller, whose $7 million cap figure in 2014 has led to speculation that he could be released in a cost-saving move.
Travis Beckum and Cooper Helfet are the other tight ends Seattle has under contract for next season. Kellen Davis, Seattle's third tight end in 2013, is set to become a free agent.
