-Safety Kam Chancellor picked off Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb with a minute remaining and the Seahawks held on to beat the Arizona Cardinals 13-10 at Century Link Field in Seattle Sunday afternoon.

"I love the way [Kam Chancellor] plays, tough aggressive, guys look up to him," Pete Caroll said after the Seahawks first win of the season.

"He's a second-year player and guys look up to him. But I think he's just getting started. "

The Seattle defense allowed just a single touchdown and picked off Kolb twice. Cardinals All-Pro WR Larry Fitzgerald was limited to five catches on 64 yards with the Cards' lone TD. Seahawks corner Marcus Trufant also intercepted Kolb late in the second quarter.

The Seahawk offense gained 122 yards on the ground, after rushing for a league-worse 95 in the first two weeks of the season. Running back Marshawn Lynch led with 73 yards on 19 carries.

"We targeted better, there was some better spacing, Marshawn ran really tough," Carroll said.

Jackson's 11 yard run with six minutes left in the third quarter, capped a 14-play 77 yard drive which put the Seahawks up by three points and for good.

Carroll said after the game that Jackson is OK after taking several hits, but that they still need to protect him better but that the QB is taking too many hits.

Carroll was not overly joyful after having won his first game of the 2011 season, and he did not resort to told you so tactics, following several weeks of criticism about the potential of this Seahawks roster.

But Jackson's 3rd quarter run and dive for a touchdown, was the turning point in the game, and possibly a turning point in the season.

"It sure felt good," Caroll said after the game about the drive.

"Our guys know Tarvaris, that was what everyone hoped and expect we would do. Maybe there was some guys who made a big deal of it in the lockerroom, like it, thought it was a great play."

"The crowd was right there with us, it felt like there was another guy on the field," Carroll added.

Jackson showed a real rhythm with former Viking teammate Sidney Rice, who missed the first two games of his Seattle career with a shoulder injury. Rice caught eight catches for 108 yards against the Cardinals.

Up next the Seahawks have another home game at Century Link, this time against the Atlanta Falcons at 1:15 PT on FOX.
