To say the Seahawks shocked the world might be a bit much, but the Seahawks certainly surprised many of us who thought this team had no chance against the vaunted Ravens defense.

Instead it was the Seahawks under-rated defense that played tremendous.

Ravens running back Ray Rice was taken out of the game all together. Rice carried the ball just five times for 27 yards.

They challenged Joe Flacco to beat them, which he could not. Flacco finished with 29 completions on 52 attempts. He was was intercepted by David Hawthorne on the opening drive of the second half.

The Seahawks offensive line have a lot to be proud of. What we saw for most of Sunday was a fluid offense which was consistently a threat to score points and did not turn the ball over.

The Seahawks have not lost a game this season when they win the turnover battle, as cliched as that sounds. They scored a season-high 19 points by halftime.

Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was all smiles after the game.

"We were talking earlier, about getting into the four minutes situation and being able to finish the game. We were able to put the ball in our hands, put the ball in our offensive line's hands and just ride Marshawn [Lynch]."

Lynch finished with 109 yards on the ground against the NFL's No. 2 ranked defense against the run. Lynch was also the leading receiver with 58 yards on five catches. He rushed for 100 or more yards for the second straight week.

Jackson said it was one of the best games for this Seahawks group but the team needed to get more TDs instead of field goals.

Special teams was a big advantage for the Seahawks. Kicker Steven Hauschka made five field goals, tying a franchise record. Ravens kick returner David Reed was forced to fumble not once but twice, leading to two Seahawks field goals.

Pete Carroll said the special team's energy was "beautiful".

Carroll added though that the Seahawks pass rush isn't there yet and struggled. None the less the secondary and linebacker corp were effective in limiting Flacco. Carroll said that he was surprised but "kind of hoping" the Ravens would abandon the run game.

Right guard John Moffitt suffered a knee injury and will undergo an MRI on Monday. Wide receivers Doug Baldwin, Sidney Rice and safety Kam Chancellor all suffered concussions and will be evaluated this week, said Carroll.

Even though his time on the field was limited, Baldwin continued his marvelous rookie season, with a 50-yard reception leading to a second quarter field goal.

Blah...Blah....Blah....Maybe the Ravens lost because the "12th man" or "12th fan" were so drunk, obnoxious, and loud that the Ravens couldn't hear each other. Don't win by playing a better game....just let the fans scream....the "12th man" or "12th fan" or whatever that stupid motto is. If the Seahawks didn't have the big-mouth fans....they'd NEVER win a game!
