-With the win, the Seahawks keep their slim playoff hopes alive at 6-7 and have now won four of their last five games.

-Doug Baldwin continues to prove he was the steal of the draft, blocking a punt which led to the first touchdown of the game and then later catching a 29-yard touchdown in the third quarter. With the season-ending injury to Sidney Rice, Baldwin has emerged as Jackson's go to target and finished with seven receptions for 93 yards Monday night.

"He just continues to answer the call, you give him chances and you give him opportunities and he does stuff," Pete Carroll said about Baldwin.

"He just such a battler," Carroll added. "He's got a chip on his shoulder that drives him to be a tough guy."

-Marshawn Lynch advertised as the face of the franchise in the Monday Night lead-ins by ESPN, performed as advertised rushing for 115 yards on 23 carries with a 16-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

-On the ground the Seahawks ran for over 100 yards collectively for the sixth straight game. Lynch himself has gone over the 100 yard mark five out of the last six games.

-Offensive guard Robert Gallery left the game with a sore hip late. It was a precautionary move and Pete Carroll said after the game Gallery could have finished the game if needed.

-In general the offensive line played very well against a good St. Louis Rams front. The Seahawks gave up two sacks in the first half but did not allow Jackson to be sacked in the second half.

"We're deep in our substitutions now, that's a really good statement about our system," said Carroll.

-LB Leroy Hill had a "stinger" but is expected to be OK.

-First-year corner Brandon Browner has a team leading five interceptions and has four interceptions in the last three games.

Browner is tied for 4th in the NFL in interceptions with three other players.

-The Seahawks are ranked 13th in total yards allowed per game, averaging 335.2 ypg.

-The Seahawks were penalized nine times for 61 yards. It may be a sign the team has waived the white flag concerning penalties-or they simply can't help themselves.

"I got to get these young guys to quit making these aggressive mistakes, but their battlin' said Carroll.

-The Seahawks only turned the ball over once, a second quarter fumble by Tarvaris Jackson on a handoff exchange with Lynch. But Jackson was decently efficient with his throws not throwing an INT finished with 224 yards on 21 of 32 passing.

-Defensive end Chris Clemons recorded his ninth sack of the season, which is the best on the team an tied for 11th in the NFL.
