Garrett Scott in sixth round
By Danny O'Neil
RENTON – The Seahawks used the first of their two sixth-round picks on Garrett Scott, an offensive tackle from Marshall.
His vertical leap was listed as 33 inches at NFLDraftScout.com. Is that right?
"Thirty-three and a half," Scott said.
And he ran 40 yards in 5.04 seconds?
"In wet conditions," Scott said.
Did we mention he weighs 310 pounds? That's a very big guy whose athleticism is very intriguing for a team that uses the zone-blocking scheme.
Scott said he felt most comfortable playing tackle, but also played guard while in college.
He graduated from Marshall Saturday with a degree in business marketing.
