The Seahawks keep winning.
Winners of four straight games, they scored another victory Thursday with the surprising news that star cornerback Richard Sherman has won his appeal of a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Sherman broke news of the league's decision on his Twitter account, writing, "Thank you @nfl for upholding the truth! To the 12s Thank you your faith is rewarded! Thank you lord."
That was followed by: "I won."
There has been no official word from the NFL, but Albert Breer of the NFL Network and ESPN's Adam Schefer have since confirmed via Twitter that Sherman has indeed won his appeal.
Sherman's victory means the Seahawks will have their top two cornerbacks available for the playoffs. Brandon Browner has served three games of his four-game suspension and is eligible to return after Sunday's regular-season finale against St. Louis.
News broke following Seattle's Week 12 loss to Miami that both Sherman and Browner were facing suspensions. Reports indicated they had both tested positive for Adderall.
Browner dropped his appeal while Sherman continued to fight the suspension, arguing that the urine specimen he provided for testing was contaminated and that the tester did not follow proper procedure as laid out in the collective bargaining agreement.
Sherman had one of his finest games in Sunday night's win over San Francisco, recording his seventh interception of the season and returning a blocked field goal 90 yards for a touchdown. Afterward, he told reporters he was optimistic about his appeal.
"It should go well. There was a chain of custody mistake. There were mistakes made by the tester," he said. "The league's argument was they're allowed to make mistakes and they're allowed to break the rules and they can get away with it. It's up to them. The appeal officer is paid by the league so if he goes their way, that's what it is. It's not an even playing field in that appeal room."

It's to bad that someone leaked out the results of the drug tests. Many people assume the players are guilty before the appeal is considered by the league. To win an appeal the player has to prove his case to the league. They are guilty until they prove otherwise. The league should go after who ever released the information and make sure that never happens again. Who ever released the private information should face a law suit. No matter the outcome of the appeal it tarnishes the players reputation when the test results are leaked out.

I heard the league could be fined $500,000 if the information was leagued by an offical source... But who is going to fine the league? lol
