Pete Carroll revealed Friday that wide receiver Sidney Rice's debut in the green and blue will be delayed yet another week because of a shoulder injury.

With the Vikings Rice' ability to come back from hip surgery in 2010 in the second half of the season was questioned. To put it plainly, some thought Rice was healthy enough to play, but he chose not to.

It doesn't appear that's the case but it would be interesting to know if there are any of those discussions or thoughts within Seahawks HQ for the high-priced free-agent who the Vikings didn't even make an offer to re-sign.

Said Carroll "Sidney won't make it in this one. He had a lot of work and gave us the thought that he has a chance next week."

Rice did not practice Friday.

As for other injuries, Robert Gallery will start at left guard after missing Week 1. Linebacker David Hawthorne will also start on Sunday after missing last week's game with a knee injury.

The following Seahawks are listed out for Sunday's game: DE Dexter Davis (hip), T Jarriel King (ankle), CB Byron Maxwell (ankle), WR Sidney Rice (shoulder), RB Michael Robinson (ankle)
