Stephen Williams has everyone's attention.
Percy Harvin's injury will open up a job for one of these receivers, and Williams made a pretty compelling case why it should be him as he caught two of the three passes thrown his way for 83 yards and a touchdown. It wasn't just the statistics, but the size that stood out. See, he's 6 foot 5, which makes him a different type of player than anyone else Seattle throws the ball to.
"He has the dimensions that we love in that kind of receiver," coach Pete Carroll said. "We don't want all our receivers like that, but we love having a big guy and we've had a lot of success with that over the years. To see him vying for that kind of spot is darn exciting. Kearse made a good case for him to also make the team, he is exciting.

Strengths

Very tall with a wide frame and good bulk. Has large soft hands and catches the ball away from his chest. Fluid in the air and uses his body to shield defenders and grab passes in traffic. High points the ball well and is a mismatch in the red zone.
Weaknesses

Route running skills are very raw and he struggles to separate from defenders. Does not disguise his routes and leads defenders to the ball. Lacks premier top-end speed and does not stretch the field. Stays high and lacks the lateral agility to consistently make plays after the catch.

Looks almost like that was cut/pasted from Kris Durham's scouting report.

I thought the deep ball was one of his strengths? He did have to down shift for one of those deep balls, that was just under thrown, great consitration to make that catch.

Not to say he hasn't improved. It would be a great time for him to develop and working against our defense and WR's may be just the key.

Dude looks legit. Only question is, can he stay healthy?

This WR position has quickly become one of the deepest groups on the team.

Rice
Tate
Baldwin
Kearse
Williams
Harper

This is how I see the final group rounding out with Harvin on PUP. Pretty unlikely that all above 6 stay healthy for 19 games so one could end up on IR by time #11 is ready to come back.
