Yeah, been following this a little bit. The biggest issue is the weather, they require an average temp of 50 degrees in February or a stadium with a roof. They made an exception for New York, but that's quite a bit different than making an exception for Seattle
Seattle should have gotten a Superbowl back when Qwest first opened, its almost standard nowadays to reward a city that builds a new stadium a superbowl. Indy is a shit hole with very little redeeming qualities and they got one. Seattle would be a beautiful city to host and after almost 40 years its time , hell every city should get a superbowl not just the same ones over and over. Do we really care that these millionaire players may get cold and wet ??? I sure don't !
I think the weather conditions are more for before the game (coin toss), halftime and the post game celebrations. Goodell and the rest of the execs don't want to get wet.
I think they will/should get one, its a great city and one of the best stadiums. The average feb. temp is 44 degress so not that off from the minimum requirement. I think the location (far corner of the universe) is more of an issue then the weather.
