Even with reports that the owners and NFL Players Association are close to agreeing on another extension of the CBA, and possibility even a resolution, the only thing that remains a fact is that the draft will be held in April.

After team representatives just spent seven days watching and interviewing the available players at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, here’s a look at whom pundits are projecting for the Seahawks with the 25th pick in the first round in their latest mock drafts (click on each name for the complete first-round mock):

Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com: Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado

The Seahawks’ biggest needs are quarterback and the interior of the offensive line, but the team could throw a curveball should a cornerback of Smith’s talent fall into their lap. The 6-2, 210-pound Smith has top 15 talent but off-field concerns could push him down the board. His size and physicality, however, make him an ideal fit for a team looking for press corners. The Seahawks allowed 31 touchdowns and only intercepted 12 passes. That minus-19 TD/INT ratio was topped by only the Texans, who had minus-20.

Chad Reuter, NFLDraftScout.com: Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa

The depth at defensive end this year could force one to drop deeper than expected. Whoever that unlucky soul may be, the Seahawks could snap them up to replace Raheem Brock.

Pete Prisco, CBSSports.com: Ryan Mallet, QB, Arkansas

They badly need a long-term answer and Pete Carroll isn’t one to shy away from players with problems.
