AFC - Broncos, Pats
NFC - Saints, Chiefs

I think we've seen enough on Alex so I'm not real concerned about the Chiefs. I like that he is winning because of the SF burn but that feeling won't last if the Chiefs get in our way.

The Saints are looking good. If the playoffs go thru Seattle I'm not worried, we've dealt with them before.

The Pats are improving when they shouldn't be. Defeating the Falcons in Atlanta. But again we've taken care of Mad Brady and Emperor Palpatine before.

The Broncos are the real threat imo, they have passed us in most power rankings this week.

Home field is going to be key.

I'm making a point to put the Chiefs in the AFC West from now on. :)

Home field is the key to going to the show.

We won't have to worry about the Broncos unless they make it to the SB. They are looking great on offense, but their opponents are a combined 4-12.
Also, let’s see how this team holds up. Specifically Manning as the weather gets colder. Also, as great as Manning has been, he's been a chocker in the playoffs.
Saints look legit, but they stand no chance in our house.

We just need to take care of business and play Seahawks football every week and we'll be alright. I see 14-2 as a very reasonable record. 16-0 isn't impossible.

Looks like we've got a preview on Dec 2 Saints in the Clink.

Thanks to Ida for schooling me on the Chiefs being in the Broncos division. Now I've got another reason to root for them, thanks. :D

Sure is fun though to see SF fans all upset about Alex.

This game in Indy is going to a challenge, weird that we have 3 sets of two away games this year.

The Atlanta, Giants and SF :) games aren't looking as challenging as they once were. 16-0 is definitely not impossible.

I think in AFC, your talking Broncos/ Pats, but Cinnci is my dark horse despite being 2-2

In the NFC I thinks its GB/CHI/Det and still 49ers that could be the most difficult. Some reason the saints dont scare me outside of the superdome.

We are a better team than the 9ers, and Houston almost beat us. If Houston beats the 9ers and we beat Indy, we'll be 5-0 to they'll be 2-3 and that would be freaking huge.

Mine too. But so far it's just been a lot of the same old, typically underachieving. I know the Browns have a decent up and coming defense but only putting up 6 points against them is shocking to me.

They concern me quite a bit more than Detroit does, or Green Bay. Mainly because all else being equal, Brees > Stafford. But all else hasn't been equal. The Saints have been better than Detroit on both sides of the ball so far this season.
They are definitely a team the Hawks don't want to concede playoff position to so that game in December's going to be pretty huge.

Now that you mention it... Det actually is a team that scares me. They have been stacked on talent for some time, and they are finding themselves.

This week Det vs. GB, I will be checkin in on that one.

GB is 1-2 but they have had some tough road losses.

@SF 34-28 L
WASH 38-20
@CINN 30-34

Once they get lacy back I think they will be stronger.

Saints defense has radically overachieved, but Rob Ryan has the D playing very well, and of course the offence is amazing. But I see the Saints as overachieving to this point.
They play @ CHI this week also a very tell-tale game

I cant wait to play them on MNF!!

Maybe, but maybe also they radically underachieved last year. They are playing hard and fast and forcing turnovers. Not bad for a bunch of "old guys". During the Dolphins game they were talking about how they get you down early and get you always playing them from behind. That's something the Hawks could probably learn from, particularly on those road games.
They are for real.

Possibly. GB concerns me because of Rodgers of course, but also because their defense I think is better than they look and has the ability to dominate at times. But their defense is also inconsistent and gets lit here and there. And they can't stop the Niners at all.
What keeps them down though is their O-line. When you go from having the worst O-line in the league and then lose your starting LT for the season, it's not looking good. How effective can Lacy be with an O-line like that?

They have been stacked on talent for some time, and they are finding themselves.
I don't doubt they are a team to watch out for. They have the talent like you said and two of the very best players on the planet on both sides of the ball in Suh and Megatron. But that team has a knack for finding a way to jump the tracks. It's been going on for decades and what makes it relevant is that the current team has been doing it too. If they are still playing at a high level after Week 12 or so, then I'll be far more concerned than I am now.

You're right about the upcoming matchups with Det/GB and NO/Chi. A good chunk of the NFC contenders along with the Hawks playing head 2 head this week and it'll be interesting to see how they match up.

You said it brother, thank god for redzone, I will be glued the tube Sunday.

My prediction is GB / CHI win those match ups... but I am 38-25 on the year, so I have not been that good. LOL!

Eddie Lacy has been back in practice BTW.
