Just heard this one on Brock & Danny. It seems someone wrote to a San Fran paper to complain about how "Unsportsmanlike" the Seahawks and our fans are. I just had to dig it up and post, enjoy:

A letter from a fan? Really?

Come on. You might as well pull up stupid MB posts, which, given the number of fans of any team, you can certainly find many.

This letter is legit. This was from some 69 year old.

Apparently there's been a second letter in agreement with the first one. I'm assuming from another Grammy.

These are the same fans Dwight Clark called "wine sipping yuppies" because they sat on their hands most of the game and gave little effort in cheering the 49ers even when Montana was QB.

If your fans suck I say that's not our fault.

Please. You don't think there are Seahawks fans saying stupid shit?

Last week it was 9ers fans are gang bangers murdering Raiders fans at the Stick. Now they are old lady wine sipping yuppies.

Which is it?

Sure Seahawks fans say stupid shit. I've not seen something this pathetic though. Obviously a couple people don't defy a fan base.

Never said she was a wine sipping yuppie. She's a little old lady who remembers footballs "glory days" from the 60's-70's when there were 15,000 fans in the stands in SF. I just think it's hilarious at how serious she is about it.

"You fans are just too darn loud! Guinness world record for heavens sake...well I never."

Hey Seahawks...get off our lawn! Hahahaha....

The only thing I can tell you for sure is that no fan base anywhere is as fanatic as the 12th man, owner of the Guinness World Record for stadium noise, topping 136.6 decibels.

9er fans seem to have a "destiny" mentality imo. For SF fans it would be just another bauble to add to the collection.

Seattle fans are ravenous for a trophy (see your pics, no trophy). The 12th man isn't there just to watch a game, they take their work seriously enhancing our players to another level. 30 years of anticipation can do that to a fan base not mentioning there are some really cool people in the NW.

Hahaha, that's funny (article). I do find it funny that fans of the other 31 teams talk smack about how loud and great your home field advantage is. As a Niners fan, it's definitely seeing our boys play up there but there's really only one thing I really hate about your team......and that's how awesome Richard Sherman is. Just saw a replay of the game (and it was tough to watch again) but that dude was on point all night.

I went to Seattle for the first time a year ago. Liked it. Very nice city and surrounding area. Ironically, the city reminded me a lot of San Francisco.

A city does not make the entire fan base but I think you said it best yourself, "surrounding area".

SF is a beautiful city but it ends when you leave the Bay area.

Seattle is the "Emerald City" but it gets even better when you leave the Pudget Sound area.

I lived a good part of my life in the Central Valley, not a healthy place for a persons soul.

I've had some reservations with Sherman but he is the real deal. Talk about enhancement, playing against your old coach who dissed you with 12th man in full support. That is a lot of "Juice".

Since the new regime (post Hasselbeck) I haven't bought a jersey. Still sporting my 51. I think the time has come for a 25.

If Harbaugh tanked Sherman in the draft like Sherm claims , I'd like to thank him , because he created a beast
