Might as well kill this thread. Like many others it's degenerated from football talk to talk about other posters. People would rather talk about themselves than talk about football.
As for the original post, the cap had nothing to do with the Seahawks' draft strategy. It's more of the same...
This from a Bleacher Report article on Easley titled: Why Dominique Easley Is the Most Overlooked Prospect In the Draft.
"Whoever takes Easley will be getting the best value of the draft, as he is a top-10 talent with the potential to be a dominant pass-rusher at the next level. As ESPN’s Chris...
I wonder if the Hawks would have traded up a few spots if they weren't short a 3rd round pick this year. Easley projected as a 2nd round pick though so they probably weren't excpecting him to be gone at 32.
In addition to the 4th round pick, the Hawks acquired a smidgen extra cap space in the deal too. Pete and John see cap space as a tradeable commodity no different than players and draft picks.
You can't teach 4.4 speed neither. As far as measurables go, would you take 6-5 with 4.6 speed or 6-3 with 4.4 speed? I'm referring to Latimer, Martavis Bryant and Jordan Matthews, any one of which could still be there at 32. KB also has a rep for a bad motor and drops. But you're right...
If RW's career ended now, he'd have a good chance of making it into the ROH.
Kinda interesting that 3 of the top drafts in franchise history, including 2011, has happened in the last 4 years. 2012 might end up being even better if Scruggs pans out. The Hawks are pretty stoked about him...
Well, whatever. In actuality it hasn't started yet, which is the point the likes of you will never get. As for lady luck, the odds of her hanging around for 4 consecutive seasons is about 1 in 30,000.
Alternate realities are not healthy.
The "dismantled" Seahawks will be opening the season with the best odds in the league to win it again in '14. If the dismantled version will carry that distinction, I feel bad for the league to ever have to face the fully intact version.
Can't wait for the draft to see Pete and John school...
A possibility but I wouldn't have it any other way. They will go into the postseason battle-hardened and ready for another deep playoff run. As people look at the schedule and think we got it tough, just think of all the other teams that have us on the schedule. They'll be saying "man, we...
I agree with everything about Mike Rob. On the flipside though, Lynch did virtually all of his damage in the playoffs out of the single back formation. I don't remember the exact numbers but his ypc with a lead blocker in there was like 2.7 but I think it was like 6 or 7 out of the single...
At least they're dealing with a lower wage scale with ET, being a safety so he might not get quite as much as Sherman. The Hawks could play cut-throat and tag him because of that safety wage scale and they would probably save about 6 or 7 mil. That would no doubt piss him off though and make...
Two more years of Beast Mode, 1000+ yard seasons, and then it's anybody's guess. Which is why he most likely won't be around after his current deal is up. Some moves coming up that's gonna be a little unpleasant for us Hawk fans and life after Lynch is gonna be one of them. Unless he's...
