Is there an ESPY in Leon Washington’s near future? How about the entire Seahawks team?
The Seahawks and their game-breaking kickoff returner are nominated for honors at the 2011 ESPYs, ESPN’s annual awards show that will be televised July 13.
Washington is nominated in the NFL Strongest Performance category for returning kickoffs of 101 and 99 yards for touchdowns in the Week 3 upset of the San Diego Chargers at CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks are nominated in the Best Upset category for the stunning victory over the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints in their wild-card playoff game.
