As NFL commissioner Roger Goodell just said, “Football is back.”
That long-awaited announcement came during a joint news conference after the NFLPA executive board and 32 team reps voted unanimously this morning to approve the terms of a new CBA to end the 4½-month lockout.
The owners had approved the terms of the 10-year deal on Thursday.
Additional details will follow, including when training camps will open and when teams will be allowed to start signing free agents – their own as well those from other teams.
