Wide receiver Mike Williams is out for the season with a broken fibula, reports Brady Henderson of ESPN 710.

Williams is fifth among Seahawks receivers in receptions this season, 18, and ninth on the team. He has been targeted 38 times, which is 8 times less than the fourth leading receiver Golden Tate.

It would appear despite the lack of production and the latest injury Williams won't be let go. Last January Williams signed a four-year, $11.74 million contract. The deal included a $500,000 signing bonus.

-Marshawn Lynch reached the 1,000 yard milestone on Sunday. Lynch had just 42 total yards in Chicago but that put him over for the season at a total of 1,011 yards. He is the first Seattle running back to go for over 1,000 in a season since Shaun Alexander in 2005. Lynch also scored for the 10th straight game this season-breaking Alexander's previous franchise record of nine straight games.

-Brandon Browner continues to impress-he grabbed his sixth interception on the season and now has one in each of the last four games. He is 3rd among all NFL players with six interceptions.

-The Seahawks’ 38 points were a season high, and they’ve now scored 30-plus points in three consecutive games.

-The Seattle Times reports on the two ways it's possible the Seahawks could make the playoffs.

If the Lions lose their final two games, first against San Diego this Saturday and then at the Packers on Jan 1st and the Seahawks win out against the 49ers and and Cardinals then they clinch a Wild Card berth.

Secondly, if the Seahawks (7-7), Falcons (9-5) and Bears (7-7) each finish 9-7, then the Seahawks would clinch the Wild Card by virtue of the tiebreakers.

-What do you think about Pete Carroll as coach of the year?

Yes the Pete Carroll whose team was 2-6 through the first eight games of the season, and have now won five out of six since that point.

John McGrath of the Tacoma News Tribune says he would cast his vote for Carroll for the NFL Coach of the Year.

McGrath writes, "Carroll’s ability to salvage a Seahawks season that was a lost cause halfway through the schedule represents some of the best work of a stellar coaching career that began in 1974."
