First-round draft pick James Carpenter signs his contract at VMAC this morning, and he’ll join the team at this morning’s practice. The only unsigned draft pick remaining is offensive lineman John Moffitt.
The Seahawks have agreed to terms with first-round draft choice James Carpenter, an offensive tackle from Alabama who is expected to start on the right side this season.
In other moves this morning, defensive back James Brindley, defensive tackle Barrett Moen and linebacker Joe Pawelek were waived; while the club terminated the contracts of offensive lineman Stacy Andrews and center Chris White.
Andrews started 12 games at right guard last season after being acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in September. But he became expendable when the club selected Carpenter and guard John Moffitt with their first two picks in April’s NFL Draft.
Moffitt is the only one of the team’s nine draft choices who has not agreed to or signed a contract.
