After selecting their first defensive player with the second pick in the fourth round – Mississippi State outside linebacker K.J. Wright – the Seahawks added Georgia wide receiver Kris Durham with the 10th pick in the round.
The 6-foot-5, 216-pound Durham started eight games last season – four at split end, four a flanker – and caught 32 passes for a 20.6-yard average. He sat out the 2009 season while recovering from a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Pro Football Weekly on Durham: “Has excellent size and deceptive, functional speed. Attacks the ball and snag throws outside his frame.”
The Seahawks’ next scheduled pick is the 23rd selection in the fifth round.
Before that, first-round draft choice James Carpenter will be introduced in a news conference, which will be carried live on Seahawks.com.
The Seahawks’ remaining picks:
Fifth round (2) – 23rd pick, 154th overall; 25th, 156th overall
Sixth round (1) – 8th pick, 173rd overall
Seventh round (2) – 2nd pick, 205th overall; 41st pick, 242nd overall
