Rookie right guard John Moffitt will be lost for the rest of the season after he damaged the PCL and MCL in his right knee during the Seahawks’ 22-15 upset victory over the Ravens on Sunday.
That was the word from coach Pete Carroll in his just-concluded day-after news conference.
“There’s some severe damage in there,” Carroll said. “So he’ll be lost for the season.”
Lemuel Jeanpierre stepped in at right guard after Moffitt went down in the first quarter against the Ravens, but Carroll said the team also will look at veteran Paul McQuistan as a possible replacement. McQuistan started three games at left guard this season when Robert Gallery was out with a groin injury that required surgery.
