Jerry Gray’s tenure as assistant head coach at his alma mater, the University of Texas, lasted all of 24 days.
The Seahawks’ defensive backs coach during the 2010 season has another new job: Defensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans on the staff being compiled by new coach Mike Munchak.
Gray left the Seahawks following their loss to the Bears in the second round of the playoffs on Jan. 16 to return to Texans, but Munchak made him an offer he simply couldn’t refuse.
“This was something I couldn’t turn down,” Gray said in a statement after the move was announced Saturday.
Gray had been with the Titans as their defensive backs coach from 1997-2000. He also was the defensive coordinator for the Bills from 2001-05.
As for his latest move, you can read about it here.
