Did you truly believe this was a "competition"?? It never was. Just a formality.

Initially I did. After the Titans game it became pretty obvious that they're calling it a competition, but they're treating it just like Flynn is our starter and Wilson is a backup... Only by calling it a competition they can eliminate all of Jackson's playing time lol.

Edwards did enough with SF to get signed a one-year contract worth $1 million last year. The contract would have increased to $3.5 million had Edwards recorded a 90-catch or Pro Bowl season. He was waived, during the season, on December 27 without having achieved either of these.

I think he was hurt most of last season. Plus, SF does not really employ a WR friendly system and their QB throws mostly to TEs/RBs.

I think comparing his most recent stint with the Jets would be more accurate.
