Just FYI, people can still start threads of their own in this forum. No one is stopping that. But maybe separating them out. I like the Seahawks news bot, though...
Impossible to say.
All I am saying is that I guarantee no one here was bitching about Alexander while he was scoring 28 TDs and rushing for 1880 yards in 2005 and being named the NFL MVP. Or bitching about his 5 years of at least 15 TDs (still only non-QB player in NFL history to do that I...
Yeah. We should brew a bunch next season, too, and have a Huddle tailgate. I know you're always down there, 94. We need to get some more people to show.
You also have to ask, what are players doing to increase revenues? As far as I know, they still play the same game. Whereas owners invest in their teams, work to get new stadiums, etc. So just because revenues are growing, doesn't mean the players should get an increased share.
Get the Black IPA from Iron Horse Brewery when you hit up 99 Bottles. Mmmmmmmm.
My spread won't be anything to write home about, most of my time will be spent between the game and the batch of beer I'm brewing.
Yeah. I was listening to Mike and Mike and Golic was saying the NFLPA had better not try and get the fans on their side because it will backfire big time. No fan is going to sympathize with a player getting paid tons of money to play a game they chose to play.
So who do you side with? I think I have to side with the owners. This is a business. They own the team. They paid for the team. If revenues go up, they should get the increased profit. If my company does better, I don't get a higher salary. Conversely, if my company does shitty, I don't...
Yeah true. And the owners generally have other income sources not pertaining to their team or their media/sponsor contracts (i.e. Paul Allen doesn't rely on the Seahawks or anything to do with them to live).
Everyone saw it coming. Everyone knew the owners would opt out because in 2006 the owners hated the concessions they gave they players. So yeah, it will hurt the players, but they've known it was coming for just as long as the owners have.
I just realized that this Super Bowl has the potential to almost make up for XL (I say almost because we still have the loss). Think about it. The refs have been terrible to the Stealers this year because of that asshole James Harrison. Wouldn't it be awesome if the refs cost the Stealers the...
Did my time in Eburg and got out. I liked it for what it is: a college town. And I guess in that view, Pullman is fine. But I got bored a lot in Eburg.
Back to the original subject, I still think it sucks that the students at WSU get a game taken away (I suppose there is potential for...
Yep. There are downsides to living in a city. But they in no way outnumber the benefits for me.
And besides, being a small town and being a waste of space are two different things. There are lots of really spectacular small towns in the northwest. Pullman is not one of them. Pullman is a...
