Question about the divisional round game against Carolina last year

Does anyone know or remember who did the play by play and color commentary for that game?

    Big Willy $

About $20 mil per, over 5 years, 35-40% guaranteed sounds about right. Or, if you don't think he's worth it because he's all about gravy-training on a top end defense and running game, then trade him straight up for Brian Hoyer then y'all will see what happens.

    PC's dark mark

I'm not sure what your point is. Are you saying that acquiring Harvin in the first place cost us the Super Bowl or trading him earlier this season cost us the Super Bowl? If it's the latter, I'm sorry but that's just not so. Trading Harvin saved the season and if they would have kept him...

    This place is dead.

Must be the football version of the 'dog days'. I'm sure this board will pick up a bit pretty soon as the draft approaches. By the way, Russell Wilson will last longer in the league than Aaron Donald. Enjoy your weekend.

    Final 4 Bracket ( NCAA basketball )

Sorry I didn't get my brackets filled out in time. I probably would have bombed anyway. But did you watch the end of that Baylor/Georgia State game? I turned it off and started watching a Manning vs Brady program on NFL Network when Baylor started pulling away and went up by 10 or 12. Man...

    Jimmy Graham Phone Interview

I didn't know he said that. If he did he came out the fool in the end because the Seahawk D had him punked the last two times he played them. That's all gamesmanship at least a full season removed so I'm sure it's not gonna be an issue. It was time to move on a long time ago.

Wow, it must suck being a Niner fan these days.

Not sure about the rest of them but to Borland's credit, he gave the Niners about $6 or 7 million worth of play and only got paid something like $440k so he gave a lot more than he got back in the one season he played. He gave up a fortune in future earnings to keep his long term physical and...

It isn't luck. 3 seasons in and still going strong. Which is exactly the reason his "luck" didn't run out last year like you thought it would.

Borland is retiring, maybe the most damaging blow of all for the Niners this offseason. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/chris-borland-announces-retirement-at-age-24-due-to-concussion-fears-022911846.html

    Final 4 Bracket ( NCAA basketball )

I might give it a go. I tend to suck bad at bracketology though because I'm a sucker for the underdog and tend to pick too many upsets in the early rounds. Maybe I'll try something different this time around. Didn't follow college hoops much this year since there was no Dawg in the fight so...

So... who replaces Carp & Unger

Might be cool to have Red back but you gotta wonder how much he's got left in the tank if he got cut by the Jags. He remained a defensive captain throughout the '13 season but toward the end it was almost more of an honorary thing as his role gradually diminished as the season wore on.

So... who replaces Carp & Unger

Been looking at center prospects in the draft and out of the top three, Cameron Erving, Hroniss Grasu and Reese Dismukes, Grasu might be considered the most NFL-ready but with the least amount of upside of the three. The only two other options they have is acquiring a center via FA or...

So... who replaces Carp & Unger

They could platoon Mebane and Hill at center. Put Mebane in there to open up the run and Hill on passing downs.

    J-J-Jimmy Graham?!?!

I'd love to see the Seahawks somehow get something done with Stefen Wisniewski. He'd be a great replacement for Unger. Just don't let him leave town without a contract :D
  15. TheBandwagon

    J-J-Jimmy Graham?!?!

Clayton was also under the impression Unger would have been a cap casualty. I guess it all would have depended on what kind of cap space they would have had when all the smoke cleared. But he definitely had trade value for sure. The Hawks are gonna miss Max.

    Free Agency Talk

That's definitely a concern. It'll be interesting to see how they address the line before next season.

    J-J-Jimmy Graham?!?!

John Clayton made a great point earlier today about how this move has the added side effect of maintaining compensatory picks. The deal that Byron Maxwell signed, based on the dollar amount, nets the Seahawks a compensatory 3rd round pick. Maintaining those compensatory picks hinges on losing...

    J-J-Jimmy Graham?!?!

I had no idea Unger was set to be a cap casualty. If that's the case then I guess as far as net gains go it's like the Hawks traded pick 31 for Graham and a 4th round pick. That kinda changes the complexion of the deal quite a bit.

    J-J-Jimmy Graham?!?!

There are a lot of things to like about the trade no doubt about it. When he's healthy Graham is the top TE in the league along with Gronk. I do have slight concerns though about how the Hawks were able to totally snuff him out the last couple years and how he'll handle those tough defensive...

How in hell are we gonna replace Max?
