woah, woah, Im not all in on this one. 4.1M is not alot of money for a vet MLB, especially if he is a leader/captian on the team. Last couple of seasons he's been injured, it was my hopes that he would be return to form this year. He's always been slow, but he got a great football mind, and is a ball hawker, invaluable to our other young LB's.

And... he still got 88 tkls 1 sack 8 pdef 1 int for TD! and 1 FF.
While that may not be pro bowl stats, its still good, and in a year coming off of injuries.

Also who is going to play middle? Hawethorne? Then who's our two OLB? Curry and KJ? Hill?

I'm not ready to part with either Lofa or Trufant, there is an emotional side to this game that is valuable, unless I'm missing something, and we can get like a 2nd round pick or something, the math doesnt work for me.

According to Danny O'Neil, Lofa found out that the Seahawks were trying to sign his replacement and when they failed they tried to restructure his contract to act like they still wanted him. PC and JS wanted to cut his yearly salary from $4 million to $2 million.

Well if this is true I have to wonder just what type of character Pete Carroll has first the USC thing , then the fact that signing Matt was our number one priority and now this ? Players don't like this type of BS I don't much care for it either.

Haha I'm in the same boat brother... I only have a #8 and #51 jersey. But I can still wear my #8 jersey with pride, Matthew will forever be a Seahawks legend. Time to buy an Earl Thomas Jersey.
