MercuryNews.com said:
NFL star and former Oakland Tech and Cal football player Marshawn Lynch was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday night and taken to Santa Rita Jail, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lynch, 26, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, was arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 880 in Oakland, according to CHP spokesman Hector Baiza. Lynch was taken to Santa Rita Jail, where he was cited and released, according to Alameda County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Raymond Kelly.

The five-year NFL veteran was cooperative and submitted to a blood test once he was in custody, Baiza said. Lynch's blood-alcohol level was over the .08 limit, Baiza added, though he declined to specify the exact measurement.
Sounds like he's gonna miss at least a few games.

Ugh... Hopefully he has like the longest appeal process ever so he doesn't have to miss the first quarter of the schedule...We need him to get off to a good start.

No shit what a dumass, way wrong person and time to have this happen. Anyone hear what is BAC was?
Hearing 4-6 games, seems a little severe for a dui.

This is his third incident since June 2008:

In June 2008, he pleaded guilty to a traffic violation and admitted to driving off after striking a female pedestrian with his car near the downtown bar district in Buffalo, N.Y.

In March 2009, Lynch pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge in Los Angeles, after police discovered a semiautomatic handgun in a backpack located in the trunk of a parked car Lynch was sitting in.

He's on his third strike and will get a 6 to 8 game suspension, basically fucking over his team again. I said when we signed him he would fuck us and was told the" risk was worth the reward " well , hows that taste . What a complete fool out at 3:30 am again ? The NFL even has a program for players, a service that will pick them up and take them home no matter where they are .

The silver cloud is now we can see what Turbin has and hopefully its as advertised, I would even look at bringing in say a Cedric Benson as a back up plan !

Ryan Grant is also a FA. Might not be a bad idea to sign him in the event Lynch gets suspended. It'll give Flynn someone he's familiar with.

Now Clayton is saying since it's Lynch's first DUI, he may not be suspended. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the NFL says.

Cedric Benson would be just more baggage. Clayton guy did look good, in preseason....
I dont think Sherriff Goodell has a formula for sentensing, but it would behoove Lynch to be totally upfront and honest and just take his licks with Roger, the man does not appreciate being fucked with. ---> See Saints

Looks like we might get to see what Turbin can do sooner then we thought. from what I heard today Lynch passed the breath test the first time but failed it the second time. If that is the case he was not drunk when the first test was given but later after some time passed he was over the limit. If that is the case then it should be thrown out and reduced to neg driving. Remember .08 is set for a small woman. The size of Lynch he was probably not drunk even at .08 reading. The point is he should still know better then to be driving when he has had something to drink.

You never know....Lynch's court date is August 15th, and the evidence against him is sketchy. His citation could get reduced. Let's hope for that because if he does get charged with a DUI, I'm afraid that Goodell is not going to consider him a first time offender against the league's personal conduct policy. Ryan Grant or Cedric Benson would be great to fill in since, while Turbin looks good on film, it was with Utah St. against non top 25 defenses.
