With Wainwright being out for the year I had to alter my predictions a bit. Are 94 and I seriously the only ones with baseball opinions? Lol

I fixed it for you. If it does that again, just make sure to put a space between the colon and the letter p so it doesn't come up as a smiley. Or you could also check the box next to "Disable Smilies in Text" which is under "Miscellaneous Options" when you're replying to a thread.

mariners need to trade hernandez while he is at his highest value. get a couple starting pitchers and a bat or two plus prospects

sorry but i could not disagree more with you on this. felix is by far the most important player on our roster. we have a very young roster give 2-3 more years then id maybe consider anything regarding felix

Trading Felix would be moronic. He's only 24, and he's locked up for a few years. He's not even at his prime yet. There are young players on their way (Smoak, Ackley, Pinèda, Franklin, and Saunders is only 24 as well) with another #2 overall pick this year and probably another top 5 pick again next year. Ichiro, Guti, and Felix are the only solid pieces in place.

Time to revisit "the King" yet again...

If the Yankees want to give up Cano, Montero, and a couple of other TOP prospects you make the deal...Unless you like watching.guys win Cy Youngs for last place teams every year you do it...I'll say this right now...Felix is great..But is rather have a World Series than a pitcher who plays once every 5 days..

Anyone who says trade Felix isn't saying give him away. The problem is Mariners brass just like with Ichiro the past five seasons won't even entertain the idea.

If someone offered me a five for one which includes a power hitting second baseman like Cano I'd probably say yes even if it does help the Yankees. Jack Z's job isn't to worry about what other GM's in the AL East think of him. His job is to put together the best possible 25 man roster on the Mariners.

I'm also aware the mariners problems aren't anywhere close to Jack Z's fault.

SeattleSportsBlog: 2011 MLB season preview and predictions

I break down each team(even the crappy teams) in my preview. Several others including myself offer up predictions. Feel free to debate me on my picks just remember in baseball nothing ever goes as planned.

Good stuff. Taking the braves over philly in the nlcs is a good prediction. I got boston winning the east as well. I don't know about verlander getting the cy young but i wouldn't be surprised i think Felix might get it again but very accurate picks

But they have entertained the idea of trading Felix, on a couple occasions. Ichiro is making too much for someone to just take on his salary. I'm sure Z would consider offers if he got any, but I doubt he has.

Also if you want to put my predictions from this thread on there you can. They seem different than most of the ones on there.

Ichiro makes 18 million. Bob I thought about that and will just message me your actual name if that is cool. I just didn't want to jack someone's predictions w/o their permission.

I'm sure Jack Z would entertain it but would dumb(Lincoln) and dumber(Armstrong)? I doubt it.
