Adam Schefter is just reporting Maurice Morris has signed a three-year deal with Detroit. Morris was signed in the second round out of Oregon in 2004. The money terms haven't been released, but it looks like Mo Mo is a Lion.
Morris won't get much more carries. Kevin Smith did pretty decent last year and Morris will likely share carries like he did here for so long.hawkfanadam said:Wow.. seeing him in a Lions jersey will be very interesting. But it will be nice to see him get some more carries, I just really hope Julius Jones can pick his game up, and possibly if what I heard is true, having Warrick Dunn might help us having more of a veteran back present

Hawk096 said:I think Julius will do just fine with us in Seattle. No one really gave him a chance to show us what he was made of. It was obvious Holmgren and Haskell wanted Mo Mo. I think if he had been given a fair chance he would have beat out Morris. Given our line also being healthy again next year I think Jones should do just fine with us.
