A look at the memorable – and not-so-memorable – moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Dec. 28:
1998: Dennis Erickson is relieved of his coaching duties the day after a season-ending 28-21 loss to the Broncos in Denver. Erickson leaves with a four-season record of 31-33.
2008: The Seahawks cap a 4-12 season, in Mike Holmgren’s final season as coach, with a 34-21 loss to the Cardinals in Arizona. Deion Branch catches two touchdown passes, but the Cardinals’ Kurt Warner passes for four TDs and Larry Fitzgerald catches five passes for 130 yards and two scores.
