Not that many. Now Petey wants the NFL to OK medical pot. The Seahawks team physician has prescription pad and pen in hand.:roflmao:

He's not the only one, not by a long shot. And by the way, even if it's 8 suspensions or 80, we're talking about Pete Carroll the coach, not Pete Carroll, everybody's parent and supervisor.
Here's the reality, you can take it or be like the legions of moronic fans out there. The bad stuff is collateral damage to him, the price of taking chances on borderline characters that no one else would. It's collateral damage to becoming within reach of being the best team on the planet. Pete's not doling out dope to players.
Anything to the contrary would be a scandal of epic proportions rivaling the Pete Rose gambling scandal or the 1918 White Sox. Pete would be banned from the NFL for life. But in fans' delusional fantasy world, that's EXACTLY what's happening. Why someone would so willingly embrace ignorance is beyond me but that's what minions of junkhead fans talking over football over beer and Madden Football parties talk about as if it's the real world.

By the way, list the 8 suspensions.

Well said... Between that and the cheating accusations with no real substance behind the allegations it's amazing how the facts, or lack there of, get twisted.

Ask Doug Farrar to list the suspensions since its his article and he's written about the Seahawks for more than a decade. You can embrace his ignorance.;)

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000319639/article/carroll-on-drug-suspensions-were-seahawks-247

The Seattle Seahawks have endured more suspensions for performance-enhancing drug use than any other team in the league since Pete Carroll took over.

On the heels of a regular season that also saw cornerbacks Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond slapped with bans for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, the coach weighed in Wednesday about how this otherwise overachieving organization is dealing with the issue.

"We have set it in motion from a ways back, just the education that needs to be expressed about the issues, about substances and the rules the league governs that we follow," Carroll said. "We've had team meetings. We've had speakers. We've had seminars. We've had one-on-ones."

Doug Farrar's not spewing ignorance. Farrar's never implied that Carroll is cheating. He's called into question whether he and the Hawks are doing enough prevention measures and all that but all this cheating stuff is what retarded fans are saying (and evidently you're buying it).

If Pete's a cheater and he's in the distribution racket, like you believe, then I suppose you also believe that pot is a PED.
You're hopeless.

"We’ll always look to do it better, but we’re on it. This team is very strong about where we’re going and what we’re doing and what we’re trying to create. Because somebody slips that doesn’t mean that we’re not on track. I think we’re on tremendous track right now. The focus around here, the dedication of what we’re doing, the standard that we hold [the players] to in all areas has been exemplary in many, many areas, and we’re really proud of it. That doesn’t mean that somebody is not going to slip and make a mistake now and then.”

Its your ignorance that must be questioned simply because AGAIN I challenge you to show where I called Petey a cheater. You can't because I haven't.

You can't because I haven't.

Seems you have a short memory too. That's how this back and forth got started. I'll refresh your memory.

SF 16 8 80: "No surprises there. The guy has good drugs."

Me: "Can't tell if you're just poking fun at all the ignorance of fans out there and just being sarcastic or if it's a candidate for dumbest comment of the year."

You: "Just a guess but its probably in reference to the epidemic of Seahawks players failing drug tests of all kinds in recent years.;)"

Me: "...Come on man. Perception all too often leads to misconception. Is that too hard to figure out?..."

You: ..."Not "hater" but facter.:p"...

So yes, you did. The whole ridiculous concept of Carroll promoting and supplying a culture of drug use on the Seahawks is that he's a cheater and he's doing it to get an edge on the competition.

Why would we need to embrace his ignorance when we have you posting yours on this board? Didn't think you would come up with 8.

Pete Carroll's a glass half full kind of guy. He believes in the inherent good in people, almost to a fault. He's taken calculated risks on some players with questionable pasts believing that those players are on the right track and can and will grow up and find maturity in the NFL. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
Part of the blowback on that approach is that you're going to have guys that break the rules and there's going to be a slightly elevated occurance of incidents with the Seahawks.

If people want to criticize that approach/philosophy then fine. But it's a LONG way off from the misconception that Pete is encouraging the use of drugs with his players.

No I commented on his use of the word DRUGS. Never have I accused Petey of cheating.

Well the taking chances on knuckleheads is unfortunately all too common in pro sports because athletic ability does not correlate to common sense. Rams have gone that route to some extent of late with Jenkins and Quinn. Jenkins in particular had issues with drugs and being immature but so far has toed the line. While Quinn had no drug issues he did have bad judgement, health concerns, lack of experience and lack of technique. What Quinn did have was phenomenal athletic ability and a drive to learn and thus far he's met every expectation. Fisher is known to take chances on such players though Quinn wasn't on his watch.

Farrar said 8. Take it up with him.
So you can't come up with 8 and just believe everything negative someone writes. That's exactly how misconceptions get going. Do you always believe everything you read without researching it? Or is it because you troll the board and use anything negative you can find, to exaggerate a negative?

You add a person who wasn't suspended then say it was overturned? The sample was mishandled and could have been tampered with, thus that reversal.

Trent Williams is a Redskin
Fred Davis is a Redskin

Sherman had a completely BS excuse and still got away with it. Both Williams and Davis were Seahawks when tested. So that makes the 8 which should have been 9.:p
