Are we just going to keep screwing in QBs until the light comes on for one of them ? Where is the up and coming talent at this position on this team ? Can we not develop a QB in this franchise ? Whats wrong with Portis ? If he can't be the starter then cut him ! Cut TJ too and go get 10 QBs in the draft and find one that can play ? Flynn will get the year to adjust and then mid way through the 2013 season if he sucks then were right back in the same position again....Then PC gets the ax and the new guy cuts Flynn and everyone else and we start again. My point is go draft the best QB you can and if you lose its on him , being cute and trying to find that diamond in the rough back up QB that becomes a starter seems like an idea that so far or twice has not worked , so lets try it again ! ARRRRGGGG

so you would keep Jackson, draft Tannehill, in the first round and pay him twice as much a we got Flynn for? Give the guy a chance, considering our draft position and the current QB's on our roster, Flynn is our best available option.

What would make you think we would even get Tannehill ? He is the projected 3 best on the board at QB and will go far before we ever get a chance, then you drop into the later rounds and the price drops considerably plus there is a rookie salary cap to protect teams from getting hosed. . Just so everyone see's where I'm coming from TJ was a second rounder , Whitehurst a third and now we drop to a 7th rounder with Flynn to get it done ? . Do they think we are going to find the next Tom Brady ? That's a reach and that's so much of a reach its embarrassing ? Were paying more for what the " experts " say are less talented players . You have what ? one season as starter at LSU and two games in Green Bay , with that offense ! to say " This is our man " oh wait, you have MM kinda of sorta saying he's ready ????RRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHH! Maybe our next QB come's from the sub draft or the Garbage picking , touch down throwing , Seattle Phenomemon.

How did so many teams miss on Flynn ? Why did he fall to almost being un- drafted ? Its cause and effect for him now that teams are in need. He will be sitting pretty as a back up somewhere in a few years having banked his cash and we will be doing what should have been started already, bringing up our own QB's instead of having Green Bay doing it for us!

Sorry just not sold on the thrift store shopping plan for the most important position in the game !

That makes sense, and maybe that is what they are doing. Maybe they have their eyes on a late rounder already. And now we have someone other than Jackson to play in the mean time. We are not going to get a QB from the draft that is ready to play right away.

Very happy with this signing! Low risk 3 year deal. Only $10mil guaranteed.

If this thing pans out, we are set for many years. Now we can focus on DE and LB in the draft. And like 18 said, we can still draft a QB.

This doesnt set us back regardles of the outcome. We dont give up any picks. We still TJack. If we hadnt signed Flynn, who else would we have signed/drafted at QB?? Worst case scenario, you still have Barkley coming out next year.

I am optimistic. We've got a good D, solid run game. This is a good situation to be in. I think Flynn chose Seattle over Miami, because we are in better position to win.

Oh and did I mention Flynn threw for 480 yards and 6 TDs against a Lions team playing for a PLAYOFF spot. Thats more than Luck, RG3 and Kellen Moore combined!!!

I respect your opinion on Flynn, but really taking a QB in the draft has always been riskier then someone that has had some sucess in the NFL. John Schnieder has said that he is not opposed to drafting on, but there just hasnt been one at their pick. This signing is not like TJ or Whitehurst, those were just stop gaps, they are paying Flynn like a starter. Pete Carroll is saying Flynn is our guy, even if he makes him compete, they are putting reputation on the line with him. And if you read all the reviews on Flynn there are alot of positives, and I think he'll beat out TJack pretty handily, and Im a TJ guy. Like #One says though, even if Flynn doesnt pan out, its not going to hurt us or set us back.

I'm glad to see that Flynn ( Matt Damon) will compete with TJ for the starting job at least. The deal is low risk and could be high reward if it works out. TJ is said to have the better arm and Flynn supposed to be more accurate. It's TJ job to lose and time will tell if his accuracy issues were due to the injury.
