With the departure of Harbaugh and the Seahawks locking it all up yet again , it's a great day to be a Seahawks fan . This team is special , the defense is legendary and the best part is thIs thing just getting started .

I just read an ESPN article that mentioned the Seahawks' defense has become only the 3rd in NFL history to lead the league 3 years in a row in fewest yards allowed, along with the 69-71 Purple People Eaters and the Browns from the early 50s. Even more noteworthy though are defenses that aren't on the list, like the Steel Curtain and the Monsters of the Midway.
If this team wins it again this year, the defense's place among the top defenses in NFL history will be solidified. The offense has struggled at times but the defense is special enough to give the Seahawks a strong chance to repeat. It's natural as a fan to be concerned about Dallas's offense, or Green Bay's. But when it boils down to who wins the matchup between those offenses and this defense, smart money goes on this defense every time. There are teams out there who are capable of beating the Seahawks over a quarter and a half, or two quarters and a half, or a half a quarter, whatever. But over 60 minutes? Not likely.
It definitely is a great time to be a Seahawks fan.
