lol Duck Hunt.... Good times... Amazing how shooting games started off so innocent and now they're all "Shoot the fucking zombie in the head!!" lol

I've been playing a lot of Left 4 Dead... And that's not even as brutal as Gears Of War... Still good shit though...

I like Washington the best, because there's a greater chance of seeing a bigfoot here then any other state. *L*
I like it here in Bremerton because I can catch a boat to Seattle if I want to see the city, or drive an hour and be in the Olympics. I can be at a lake to fish in fifteen minutes from my house, or at the ocean in two hours, or feel the heat in Eastern Wa, in 3 hours from here. Washington has just about every kind of climate possible in one state.
I do like Montana, but there's no ocean there. I was just back there to attend my dear aunt's funeral in Anaconda MT and even though the circumstances were grim I enjoyed the countryside and spending some time with my cousins. I spent at least a week or two in Montana every summer when I was growing up.
Oregon is cool, the coastal beaches there are much more beautiful then Washington.
It's pretty much has everything like Washington, but their socialist. *L*

You were in Anaconda?

Did you get over to Butte? Did you at least take a pic of the Testicle Festival sign in Rock Creek? You know, the one that say "Have a Ball"?

Nah we should have stopped for that. That would have been a great pick.
It was 3 day funeral trip with my closest brother and I in one car, and my oldest brother and sister in the ohter.
We just buzzed back there in one day, on Easter Sunday, went to the wake that night, the funeral the next day, and hung out with my cousins at the Haufbrau in Anaconda after the funeral. I gotta go back and do some fishing with the cousins sometime. We all kind of grew up together. I was glad to see the old smoke stack in Anaconda is still standing.
That thing is huge.
We jetted back home on Tuesday. We stopped at the Lincoln Silver Dolloar bar for Breakfast but really didn't do any sight seeing.
Me and my bro agreed we should start doing road trips together at least once a year.

You guys should hit up the Snake pit in Enaville Idaho when your going by or the Talking bird in St Regis MT or better yet in Manhattan Montana theres a joint called Sir Scotts Oasis they serve a tenderlion the size of a softball and a t -bone cut to order...the cattle are right behind the place, kinda like picking out a lobster LOL.

I will give you the ocean thing because I do love the coast and its beauty ! driving your truck on the beach , building a bon fire with a cooler full of beer, your shoes off, on a warm summer night.... it doesnt get any better then that......unless you go cow tipping :)

I always wanted to stop at Snake Pit when I was a kid, but my parents always drove on. I thought maybe that was closed now, but I'll make a point to check it out.
I have a lot of good memories of Idaho and Northern Idaho is spectacular in scenary.

One place I love stopping in Northern Idaho is Wallace....

Still can't pass by without taking the old Main Street, even after the took the stop light off I-90 it just never seemed right to take the viaduct, always had to take the old 1-90 through town and get something to eat and drink...Just enough space between Wallace and Haugen (Silver Dollars) to have a beer and be okay to have another one at the Silver Dollars.

Does Lincoln still run "Wallace Station"? Is it even still there?

Man, still the best place to eat in N.Idaho/W. Montana is in Butte...Yeah, I'm partial but....

www.porkchopjohns.com

Nothin' better in the world than a Loaded Chop...Though a pastie comes in second in my book...Actually an Italian guy runs a bar called "The Freeway" in Butte and Evel used to eat there all the time...His featured item....LOL...The Wop Chop...Not very PC to say the least..lol

Always thought it funny to see a hairy pig cartoon on a sign to get people to eat there...Kinda odd...

Wait a minute. Is this the place that has the deep friend pork chop sandwiches?

Yeah that's the place, there's two in Butte...One uptown where it's an old lunch counter with 8 stools and one on Harrison Ave on the flat a couple of blocks off I-90..Best meal ever--A "Loaded" which is chop, mustard, onions, and pickles on a bun that's toasted on the griddle.....Do you know it?

My father-in-law RAVES about the place. He grew up in Butte (lives the Tri-Cities now). He buys the pork chops from the guy frozen and cooks them for us when we go to visit. Apparently some guy at Pikes Place Market was kind of franchising the pork chop sandwiches. My father-in-law was thrilled. So he bought one and it tasted like garbage. He called up Pork Chop John's and told them how horrible it was and they revoked the rights to sell the sandwich. Haha.

What's his name? Age? PM me...I bet someone in my family knows him, if he was in Butte longer than 5 years, we'd know him..

I still go into bars there and people ask me "where you been Miller haven't seen you or your old man in a few months?"...lol

The Pork Chops are on their website, and I usually stop at the Western Meat Block

http://www.westernmeatblock.com

to load up on those in a couple of 100 gallon coolers before I leave Butte...I get those and some sausages up at the Terminal Grocery on Park....Best Kilbasas ever....Only place close to those is Green River Meats in Auburn (worth the trip!)...Fill that cooler every time I'm in Butte, usually about 500-1000 chops and about 200 lbs of sausage.....Get's me till winter if I go in the summer, always bring them to my friend's weekly parties and people are hooked on them...

I remember when they tried to open a Pork Chop John's in Everett but it just didn't take over here....Kinda sucks...

One more thing about Green Valley Meats.....They raise their own so it's fresh as possible...They make all the sausage and smoke it there, they steaks are priced great, and the smell in there from the smoked meats is my own personal Valhala...Seriously, if you get a chance...Check it out..

Yeah, I always wonder why pigs look so happy to be eaten on advertising. It's kind of insane.
Those are very cool old signs 94!
