I'm not ever sure if it is possible but let's assume a team in a really bad division wins all 6 divisional games but loses every other game. Do they really deserve to have home field advantage over a 11-5 wild card team? Of course odds are the 11-5 team would win the match any way but what if...
They are both bad ass and the best at their position but Thomas's ability to solo tackle and clean up make him the MVP imo.
If Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman had a vote, the NFL’s defensive player of the year would be Seahawks safety Earl Thomas.
“I would have to give it to Earl,” Sherman...
I wasn't meaning they should eliminate a division winner but that is interesting.
1-Seahawks
2-Carolina
3-San Fran
4-Saints
5-Philly
6-GB
It would reverse home field advantage in the wild card games.
Sherman's been awesome but has had some bad games and mistakes. Thomas has been a rock.
Thomas 105 tackles, 5 int (78 solo)
Sherman 49 tackles, 8 int
I think Wagner should be mentioned as the leading tackler with 120 and 5 sacks.
There isn't a team with more devoted deserving fans than us and having home field advantage is huge.
I seriously think the NFL should make this change. Of course it wouldn't work in our favor this year with the 9ers having to play in GB but I don't think a team with an 8-8 record in a weak...
It's going to be hard to look at the Eagles as more than hype but they probably are one of the most dramatically changed teams from a year ago. They are in transition so much I don't really know how to gauge them. They don't seem like a team that should be in the playoffs.
Totally agree szat, before Tate matured I was seriously worried he was going to be the same type. Sure glad he's managed to balance his game.
Harvin's signing doesn't fit in with everything PC has done. It tells me they weren't sold on Tate's development at the time and thought they needed a...
It was getting dirty out there. They were targeting Tate big time trying to get pay back and he repeats the same play (less the showboating). That had to sting.
I like Browner's size and presence but 19 tackles and 1 Int all season is hardly worthy of Legion of Boom status. Earl, Kam and Sherm have combined for 211 tackles and 13 Int. Statistically that's saying he contributed about 8% to the Legion.
Funny how when you don't hear about something for awhile you hope it will go away. I still think it is lame, what is the problem with NFL players smoking to relieve some of the pain?
