Wilson fell the third round, because of his height. I bet he silenced several teams' concerns on that. Flynn, on the other hand, did not even get a contract offer from his previous OC. So who would garner more interest? Tough question.
How was Flynn the first real answer at QB and Wilson is not? Because he played in a grand total of 2 regular season games? To me, if Flynn was the first real answer, he would have slammed the door on a rookie rather than having a sore elbow half way through the preseason...
But that's my point. If he did better in real games that counted, shouldn't he have had no problem in the first two preseason games and not let a rookie upstage him?
I will say this, if Wilson continues on his current trajectory, he will be, if he is not already, better than Flynn. Hard to say...
Normally I would agree with this sentiment. But the problem is, your boy Flynn had the same preseason opportunities and did NOT light it up in comparison to Wilson. So why all the Flynn love?
Why is anyone against Wilson? If he is better than Flynn then Flynn gets to ride the pine and the Seahawks are better off. The same is true of the opposite.
Good coaches think about winning when they make decisions. Not the fans. Winning is what fans want. By focusing on winning, a coach necessarily takes care of the latter.
I like it if for only one reason: it backs up the mantra that PC spews. The highest paid, or the highest drafted, is not guaranteed to play. So I think it is good in showing that you had better give it everything all the time or the guy that wants your job could very easily take it. And if...
Now it looks like he's even willing to take a pay cut.

I didn't see the game (I opted to do a sunset climb up at Rainier and watch the meteor shower), but everything I read across the nation says Flynn was maybe above average, but Wilson impressed, regardless of what string they were playing against.
One thing I liked - Wilson put the game away...
