Clearly you did not witness the offensive line, lack of pass protection, and dropped/tipped passes thrown to Golden Tate. At this time right now, I still think Jackson is the better option. But I would like to see Whitehurst play with the first team offense before I fully commit myself to that...
In the long run, I still think it should be Jackson. I don't blame that game entirely on Jackson, in fact, I barely blame him at all. Every time he dropped back in pass protection, he was hurried, and/or sacked. The line didn't not help him at all.
Even when he managed to get a pass off, it was...
I hate that bastard. He doesn't belong on the football field. He deserves at the very least some minor punishment for us having to watch him "play" football over the last few years.
They're saying Jackson will be in the game for at least 2 quarters. He should be able to show us flashes of what kind of player he will be. Hopefully for the better :)
He was extremely spotty. He had 2 maybe 3 good games the entire year. The rest was won on special teams... It was not a good season, even considering his lack of protection and broken wrist.
It's not like Hasselbeck had a good season last year..
There were 27 QB's last season that were more successful last season than Hasselbeck purely based on passer rating. Granted that's not the most "go-to" stat, but it says all it needs to.
