I just feel San Francisco always shows up and shows how good they really are when people start to doubt them. I think the 9ers are going to win this game. That might actually help us out though, if that happens, the Lions lose once, and we win our next 3 games, we clinch HFA.

I really don't know why we are going through all these different scenarios. We are 9-1 having played the majority of those games on the road with a descimated offensive line. This team is hitting their stride at the perfect time. I expect them to cream Minnesota this weekend. The BYE is going to be huge. I expect a great game vs the Saints but I still think we win by at least 10 (call me a homer). And call me a crazy homer, I think we will destroy the 9ers in SF. 15-1 is more than possible.

With the was the NFC is lining up, I just don't see 15-1... If we beat NO and SF (I think we will) I think we lose to the Rams at the end of the season because we'll be resting our starters.

If we do go 15-1, I'd like to remind you all I said it was possible we'd be 9-1 and maybe 15-1 at the end of the season :D when I looked at the schedule before the regular season started I told my friends that our lone loss would be to the Texans or Colts. Saints will be tough but we should be healthy and it's a home game so I think we'll handle it pretty well.

If we have home field clinched then it seems practical to rest guys , but do you really think we would take a loss at home to a division rival in the Rams ?. We would have two consecutive undefeated seasons at home and RW would be perfect at the clink all thrown away to rest a few guys ? . Not to mention you then risk having players on long layoffs waiting around to play . I think they get their rest during the bye and come out on a mission to finish, not playing it safe besides the Rams need to know who owns this division , no point in giving them any future hope. the NFL schedule makers purposely made these games divisional at the end of the season so teams would play to win

Who the opponent is and where the game is is irrelevant. Being undefeated at home during the regular season is much less important than being undefeated in the post season.

Well that sounds great and all but I've seen enough teams play it safe and back into the playoffs to know its a bad idea. They'd get 10 days or so off to rest anyway and that's actually to much IMO , every week is a championship week right ?

We put a 30 burger on them by half time , pull RW and ML then everyone is happy .

Yeah, that concerns me. I'd rather have to play hard through week 17, but we still have a couple really tough games to worry about before we get anywhere close to that point.

The last time this team had 10 days off it was right before the Rams game and we all know how they played in that one.
If they rest starters though in week 17, it will be a lot longer layoff than 10 days. It'll be more like 21.
It's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. You don't want that long of a layoff while on the other hand you definitely don't want to lose anyone to injury in a meaningless game.

Easy, the Saints. Who's with me on this one?

I am.

As much as pains me to, today I hope the whiners win.
49ers are 2 games back of us, even if hawks loose to them and we drop another game (hopefully not the saints home game) and both teams are tied at the end of the season we hold the tie breaker (Panthers win) also consider this, the 49ers have been inconsistent and look at their schedule: @Wash, Stl, Sea, @TB, Atl, @Az. Two of those common opponents we have already beat. At best the 9ers go 12-4, but my guess is 11-5.

Saints are the biggest (and only?) threat to take away our home field advantage. Saints beat 9ers and us at home, they will likely get it.

I vote for one time only 49er win.

So the niners lost, in theory, putting them too far out to win the division.

Without a doubt the saints are now the biggest threat to our SB/Playoff run. I think it is conceivable that the Saints could win out from here putting more pressure on us to win that Home game against them. That is why I wanted the 49ers to win.

Now lets gear up for the MNF Game and leave no doubt who the #1 team is in NFC and the NFL!

Freaking Niners need a QB…that project is a bust. I think they ruined any potential Kaep had by making him a pocket passer.

It was great to see Harbitch crying on every call that didn’t go his way as usual. What I saw from the Niners I wasn’t impressed.

I have a pretty sound theory as to why Kaepernick is being a pocket passer and it has nothing to do with the Niners trying to make him be something he isn't. Teams are orchestrating their pass rush to keep guys like him and Wilson in the pocket. They are succeeding against Kaep but not against Wilson. Kaep has slightly better top end speed based on combine times (4.53 vs 4.55 in the 40) but Wilson had him beat in the 10 yard, 20 yard, and 20 yard shuttle. Wilson accelerates better than Kaep and so is more effective eluding that initial pass rusher bringing the heat. I've seen a lot of times when Kaep tucks and runs he's got a clear path out of the pocket but often gets caught from behind before he can even get going whereas Wilson escapes the pocket in similar situations.
Wilson's also been far quicker on reading and anticipating pressure too and is probably better at cutting and changing direction. Wilson could have maybe made it as a RB if not for the golden arm.

Also I'll add to the kap discussion that he has a strong arm and is pretty accurate but I always throws lazer beams, on a bead. There is never any 'touch' or arch on his passes. These are not easy to catch and cant drop into to zone coverage windows.

Its still irritates me that I heard so many seahawks fans that wanted Kap over RW last off season. DO YOU ALL GET IT NOW?? DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY KAP IS NOT GOING TO AS VALUABLE AS RW? Intangables aside, he is a better thrower.

Really? I spent a lot of time on message boards and stuff arguing on the Kaep vs Wilson debate and I don't recall ever seeing a single Seahawk fan posting about a preference for Kaepernick. First off, there was no tangible reason for it. Wilson was better all the way across the stat board from the time Kaep took over as starter in SF. All except for rushing yards. Everyone talking up Kaep made reference to the fact that he went farther in the playoffs than Wilson did so that's proof he's the better QB. The fact that the Seahawk defense choked the game away in the last 33 seconds while Wilson had to watch from the sidelines somehow proved that Kaep was a better QB than Wilson. Totally absurd.
Were they basing it on the game Kaep had vs GB in that playoff game with the 181 rushing yards? Even that doesn't fly because with all the hype given Kaep over that game, Wilson actually had more total yards in the Falcons game than Kaep had in that game against the Packers (445 to 444), had a better QB rating and better TD/Int ratio.

Those wacked arguments were all stuff coming from Niner fans though. You saying there were Seahawk fans out there thinking like that too? You gotta be shitting me.

Regardless. Our path is clear now. Beat the Saints, and we have a strangle hold on home field advantage. Gonna be the biggest regular season game ever when they come to town in a couple weeks.

Wilson has playmaking abilities that don’t even register as a stat. You can’t teach what he does on the field, it’s pure instinct for the game. Like his flip to Lynch for the TD…where does that even come from?

Kaep is a decent QB, but he doesn’t have the kind of mojo that RW brings to the table. It’s not even close. I’ve said since since I first saw him play in preseason, RW is just a flat out playmaker and should be the starter. He just has something that you really don’t see very often.
