They had Sherman and Crabtree mic'ed up. We all know Sherman talks crap...but he was actually reserved in this game. He tried to congratulate Crabtree, albeit probably at the wrong moment. But he did congratulate many SF players.

But I think the most telling thing for me was Kaepernick talking to his receivers on the sidelines. I couldn't understand a word that came out of his mouth and I didn't live some sheltered life. He's incoherent.

The best sound bite was Wilson asking Bradshaw in his ear "what's the key to winning it all" and then Bradshaw's advice to "stay in the moment" and Wilson's reply "Yes sir". Wilson is special. He's better at being a human than most people are good at anything.

Why would he "congratulate" Crabtree? What was there to congratulate? For him not making the play? Face it Blue he instigated the entire thing and burned his Wheaties box at the same time.

You don't know the entire narrative up until the game. Watch him Mic'ed up...it's on NFL.com I believe.

The entire narrative up to the game makes it worse. It shows Sherman had a motive for instigating it and instigate it he did.

I'd add that what was actually said wasn't a profanity laced tirade. It wasn't about his mother. It was about another player. A player that obviously had something to say about Sherman.

I dont totally agree with what he said in any way. But its been blown way way out of proportion.

Yes blown way out of proportion. On that we agree. However he didn't answer the reporters question AND he instigated the crap on the field with Crabtree. If Sherman is so intelligent what was he "congratulating" Crabtree for? Does he even know what congratulate means? He was mocking Crabtree plain and simple and then used a reporter to slam Crabtree while bragging on himself. Its low class. :poop: Plus it cost him his Wheaties box.

So tired of hearing about "class". Class doesn't get you to the Super Bowl. Winning football games does. I don't care if Sherman took a shit in Crabtree's helmet. I just want to win one more game!

Class seals your legacy long after everyone doesn't give a crap about your super bowl.;)

I heard what Sherman said to Crabtree. He wasn't congratulating him he said "helluva game, helluva game." Reached out to shake Crabtrees hand and Crabtree pushed him away. People just want something to talk about. I couldn't care less. I hope he's that amped at the big game.

Well that makes more sense but still doesn't excuse his conduct during the interview. He now knows his actions have detracted from the team which is really unfortunate since there are stories there worth telling over these two weeks.

If he hadn't said anything all we would be hearing this week is Manning, Manning, Manning.

What about how the great lineage of the Manning royalty has blessed the NFL? I mean what would we do in that all consuming vacuum that is the Manning family firm hold on the NFL storyline?

We could discuss when little brother got his heart broken in 3rd grade. Or how Peyton once had a bad season playing varsity, but then he realized he was only 12 so it was ok. Maybe how Archie played football highlights with an 8mm projector on his wife's 4 week pregnant belly to start training the yet to be born zygotes early. (Look it up)

Lets all remember one thing history has taught us, Peyton can be beaten and most times he has been in the playoffs. He's not the golden child that the NFL wants to portray to the media. I remember him losing for many years, yet putting up huge numbers.

If we lay him out I have no problem with that.

He was congratulating Crabtree as a member of the 49ers on the great game in general, which it was. Whether you want to read some underlying insult to that, that's up to you. Crabtree evidently did, mainly I'm thinking because Crabtree already slighted Sherman last offseason so he expected an insult after Sherman got the better of him on that last play. Sounds like Crabtree thumbed his nose at Sherman during that charity event, which is where their history leads back to.

Sherman often takes competition to a personal level. When it gets to that point, that's when his play goes through the roof. I wonder if guys like Crabtree and Jimmy Graham will figure that out and not get caught up in it from here on out. Because when Sherman's motivated, he makes players look bad.

Jimmy Graham had a horrible game after starting a brawl before the game. If I were him I'd stick to just playing the game, because being a bad ass seems to not be working for him.

Crabtree had a 4 catches for 52, not huge numbers. So if they are playing Richards type of game, they've gotta look for another way to play...because this ain't working.

He tried to congratulate Crabtree, albeit probably at the wrong moment. But he did congratulate many SF players.

Without a doubt his intention with the hand shake was to rub salt into the wound. Does Richard Sherman exemplify good sportsmanship? No.

But who cares if he is going against another player and bitter rival...
Did he use profanity or vulgar language?
Did he break the rules or the law?

This is player against player, and though some find it despicable (most I think are either haters or rival teams anyways).
Most of us don't mind it, and it is blown up way out of proportion anyways.

I see where you're trying to go with that but it fails on a major point. That point is none of the Rams players are well known, nor are they in the national spotlight for two weeks preceding the super bowl. Sherman is in the spotlight. A negative spotlight. Unless he has an incredible game and saves a duffel bag of puppies and kittens from drowning ON FILM that interview will be a large part of his legacy in the minds of those people that witnessed his tirade.

Well the advertisers may not like it as they get skittish easily. The advertisers don't sell strictly to the Seattle or Denver fans or NFL fans only. They want to sell to everyone. Most NORMAL people witnessing that interview were turned off which is the last thing advertisers want. The advertisers really rule the NFL as long as that is where the most money is made.;)
