Starting pitching: average at best depending on how Latos performs, I personally don't think he'll be as god this season.
Relief Pitching: Great.

Hitters: Good. Counting on some guys to bounce back or break out, not a ton of power. Average depth.
Starting Pitching: hard to tell. below average to above average. Again, there's a few potential guys here. Felix is the only sure thing, not a bad rotation.
Relief Pitching: Very good.

22. (218) Yunel Escobar (Tor - SS)
23. (223) Ike Davis (NYM - 1B)

Hitters: Nice mix of potential and proven players. Stolen bases will be an issue and not great depth.
Starting Pitchers: Very good, the Rays bullpen is going to cost Price some wins this year. But good depth makes up for that.
Relief Pitchers: Great. 3 very solid closers.

21. (204) Rajai Davis (Tor - OF)
22. (217) Brian Matusz (Bal - SP)
23. (224) David Freese (StL - 3B)

Hitters: Poor. Tons of stolen bases, I would reccomend shopping a couple of your catchers. No need to have 4 of them.
Starting Pitchers: Solid all around, but...
Relief Pitchers: Very poor. Potentially ZERO closers.

22. (216) Derrek Lee (Bal - 1B) [dropped for Russell Martin]
23. (225) Ryan Raburn (Det - 2B,OF)

Hitters: VERY good lineup, not a ton of stolen bases. But this is one of the better lineups in the league.

19. (186) Rafael Soriano (NYY - RP)
20. (195) Nyjer Morgan (Mil - OF)
21. (206) Clayton Richard (SD - SP)
22. (215) Cliff Pennington (Oak - SS)
23. (226) Brett Cecil (Tor - SP)

Hitters: below average. Severe lack of power, I know you're a yankee fan but you reached for your boy Cano in the first round. Guerrero was a very good pick up though.
Starting Pitchers: GREAT, Maybe best rotation in the league.
Relief Pitchers: Great, tons of depth. I'd recomend shopping a couple of these guys for some power.

22. (212) Asdrubal Cabrera (Cle - SS) [dropped for Juan Uribe]
23. (229) Jake Peavy (CWS - SP)

Nice breakdown Bob, thanks for your time and effort on it.

It definitely was my first and only MLB draft ever. I have been doing Fantasy Drafts in NFL for about 10 years, so I just used cheat sheets and default rankings to help me make my decisions.

That is quite a compliment though that you like my team and couldn't believe it was my first MLB draft.

Hopefully I will do well in the day-to-day activities since that is also brand new to me.

Good luck to everyone who is playing!!

Thanks for the breakdown Flip! Pretty happy that I preranked since I wasn't at the draft, like ALL our Fantasy league draftsin both football and baseball....LOL.....Kinda avoided the draft because even though o was around that day for a change the autodraft worked so well in our FFL for me I thought I'd continue the karma...

I personally think Beckham is the steal of this draft, think he's going to be a solid player....

Your team is hard to read. You were the last team I eliminated from the playoffs, if you go after anything I'd go after some starting pitching. But right now just wait and see how it goes.
