I would have rather the Colts scored instead of getting picked off so it would have gone to the wire. Could have been another nail biter, but was more of a meh ending.
We've already tagged a K. Didn't work out so hot. Besides, I remember an interview with Mare (can't remember if it was after Mora had his tirade or if it was during the Coutu competition), but he said he moved his family here with the intent of playing the rest of his career with the Seahawks...
Longtime Mike Holmgren aide Gil Haskell may soon join Browns front office: NFL Insider | Cleveland Browns - cleveland.com
It's like the second incarnation of Holmgren in Seattle. If he was just going to bring back all the old people, I'm glad he didn't come back here. I like almost every move...
It depends on how the draft falls. There may be better value at 14 than the available tackles. You are dead set on making a lineman work in one of our picks. I think that is the wrong approach. You only have to look at Ruskell's drafts to see that (Spencer, Jennings, Jackson, etc.).
With your attempted parallels to Long, Clady, and Ferguson, you are making an assumption that a tackle of that quality is available when we are picking. If there is not, don't pick one that should be taken x number of spots lower. You overpay for a lesser talent. Just doesn't make any sense.
I don't want them stretching for an o-lineman just because we need one. If there isn't one worth a 6 or 14, don't take one. We have enough holes that any position (except linebacker) taken in those spots will help.
If you get good reception with AT&T, nothing beats an iPhone, IMO. I worked for T-Mobile and had a BlackBerry, then Android. Now I work for Clearwire and I have an iPhone and it is by far the best handset I have owned. Since I am in Seattle proper, reception is not a problem for me...
I don't think Holmgren wanting Hasselbeck is at all the same situation. He had worked with Hasselbeck at the pro level the immediate year preceding. Carroll worked with Leinart at the college level almost half a decade ago. Big difference. Leinart is not Carroll's guy anymore.
