Hey guys, i'm planning on coming up to the NW this year in May.
I've been multiple times, but this time i'm bringing some out of town relatives and a couple friends.
Outside of the obvious tourist attractions (Space Needle, Pikes market, Woodland Zoo, Aquarium, EMP) that we'll be attending, what would be some of your particular local favorite frequents?
I'll be there 5 days and want to optimize the time spent there. Thanks guys!

*Attractions for family ( no babies or children)

*Restaurants (sushi, BBQ, Italian)

*Outdoors activity (Fishing, kayaking, casual hiking)

* Nightlife (Bars/Clubs)

Just to give an idea of what I prefer.

Make sure you go to Dick's drive-in. There is one up in Capitol Hill on Broadway. Don't leave Seattle without getting some Dick's. I don't often eat burgers, but when I do...I eat Dick's.

Eat a breakfast at Beth's it looks like a dive, but it's great food. Make sure you're starving or you'll never finish your meal...they are huge. And you can get your art up on the wall. ;)

Visit the CLink and check out the Lombardi trophy of course. :)

I can PM you a few more in a few.

What happened to Raider Jon?

We were so interested in screwing with him that we had him tracked down to using the UW computers during his break as a shuttle driver for UW. Of course what could we do with that information? But the cat and mouse was fun.

He actually taught me how not to take the forum seriously because he posted such trash I had to learn to ignore it.

Those were good times on SH. If my memory is correct he was banned almost everywhere online.

I don't know what happened to him. That handle signed up at Seahawks_and_the_NFL but we were never sure it was him. He was funny, quick witted and an excellent poster (within a narrow window) so of course he would be banned everywhere. What you were to do I don't know. Maybe "Reap the Whirlwind" or something? You definitely have changed from back then, a more mellow sort, displaying a good wit with of course an unchanged delusional devotion to all things Seahawks. I do think this is your year.

Beth's was on Diners Drive ins and dives .
12 egg omelet and hash browns eat it and get a shirt.

The Crab Pot has all kinds of fresh seafood , they specialize in low land boils . Your table gets covered in butcher paper and they dump a big ole pot of crab legs , clams , corn , spuds etc right on the table and you dig in .

Fresh mussels are found all over town , a hot buttery bucket of mussels and sour dough bread is an awesome snack .

World of Beer is a great stop also .

Crab legs or whole crab? Dungeness? Sounds like what they do around the Chesapeake Bay with blue crabs.
